The quarterly Medycyna Środowiskowa - Environmental Medicine is published by the Witold Chodźko Institute of Rural Health in Lublin and by the Polish Society of Environmental Medicine. It has been published regularly since 1998. The journal was founded in order to popularize scientific advances in environmental medicine and spreading the progress of knowledge in this field; raising the professional level of people actively involved in the widely understood domain of environmental health; consolidation of scientific and professional environments by providing information to facilitate contact, interdisciplinary cooperation, and exchange of thoughts and experiences. According to the list of journals ranked by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the journal obtained 5 scores. According to the indexing database ‘Index Copernicus Journals Master List’ for the year 2017 Medycyna Środowiskowa - Environmental Medicine obtained 72.16 scores.
